Biography
Dr. Henderson is an assistant professor in the Department of Exercise Sciences at Brigham Young University. As a biomechanist, her research focuses on gait and exercise interventions during pregnancy and the postpartum recovery process as well as the effects pregnancy may have on injury and other musculoskeletal disorders throughout a woman's life. She has a particular interest in foot and ankle function and has conducted research in diverse populations, including pregnant individuals, post-stroke patients, individuals with diabetic neuropathy, and healthy adults. Dr. Henderson obtained her B.S. and M.S. from Brigham Young University in Exercise Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in Biomechanics and Movement Science from the University of Delaware.
