Research Interests
My research focuses on the bioenergetics of dragonfly flight muscle and howmitochondrial function supports different flight behaviors. Dragonflies are great
comparative models for studying muscle mitochondrial performance. Understanding
how their mitochondria sustain extreme energetic demands may provide insight into
mitochondrial dysfunction in human disease.
Teaching Interests
I enjoy teaching human anatomy and physiology with particular interest in their relationships to exercise, aging and disease.Education
