Fitness Testing

***With the recent restriction changes announced by BYU, our office is now open to serve both BYU affiliates and community members. In-person appointments are now permitted and masks are not required. We will continue offering Zoom as an option for those who would prefer that, so please specify how you would prefer to meet when you schedule an appointment.***

Y Be Fit is the cornerstone of BYU's comprehensive wellness program.

The Y Be Fit program is managed by a staff of faculty and students trained in fitness and health promotion. The program centers around three important areas of disease prevention and health promotion:

  1. Assessment of an individual's present health and fitness
  2. Education/prescription to guide and motivate participants toward their wellness goals.
  3. Follow-up counseling and monitoring of progress to help individuals optimize outcomes.
The mission of Y Be Fit is to help people make healthier lifestyle choices leading to enhanced well-being, greater productivity, and more satisfying lives.
