Y Be Fit is the cornerstone of BYU's comprehensive wellness program.
The Y Be Fit program is managed by a staff of faculty and students trained in fitness and health promotion. The program centers around three important areas of disease prevention and health promotion:
- Assessment of an individual's present health and fitness
- Education/prescription to guide and motivate participants toward their wellness goals.
- Follow-up counseling and monitoring of progress to help individuals optimize outcomes.
The mission of Y Be Fit is to help people make healthier lifestyle choices leading to enhanced well-being, greater productivity, and more satisfying lives.
